New Years resolutions

Ok, so i know that it's halfway through January and whatever...i've been thinking long and hard about new years resolutions. I didn't just want to pick something silly or off the top of my head on a whim. So I've come up with this...I've been thinking about how much i communicate with my family or don't for that matter. i feel disconnected and not really at any fault of theirs. i feel i don't take the time for those i deem important in my life. i love my brothers and sisters. do i know what's going on in their lives? do i show that i'm interested in their lives? do they know that i love them and miss them and wish i could go back to before i moved out and life got so complicated? no to all 3. i want them to know that i do love them. i'm sorry for being such a rotten big sister. i want them to know that i'm sorry that i have become so disconnected. Sure we all get along when we are together...but i don't feel we are close (i know, i live in texas, but you know what i mean) i read some of these blogs and the glowing love that ones have for their siblings is touching. it leaves me wanting. i know i can't force it...but i really want to get close to my family again. to know what's going on in thier lives and to make sure that when i say let me know if you need anything they won't hesitate to take me up on the offer. and maybe i'm just kidding myself to think that i can have that realtionship...but i have to try. and this new years resolution dosen't just stop with my siblings (but thats the one i miss the most) but with the new members of my family, the extended members and the old members. here's to a new year of strenghening home and family ties. I love you all and thanks for being my friends, my family and the ones who love me no matter what.

What a great resolution...nice to hear someone doing something different, and actually meaning it!
